We profess Christ to be the Lord and Savior of all men and firmly believe in all His teachings expressed in Sacred Tradition, Sacred Scripture, and the Magisterium under the one true Church established by Him. “Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle” (2 Thess. 2:14). Sacred Tradition is that oral teaching of Christ which was passed down from the Apostles to us now since in the beginning of the Church there was no Sacred Scripture or Bible readily prepared for the faithful in Christ. Magisterium is the authority of the Catholic Church when it speaks on faith and morals; this includes all the teachings of the past popes, councils, encyclicals, pronouncements, decrees, etc. except those after Vatican II.
